Japan to get TV on PSP

This fall, while you’re watching The Office (great show) in your living room, stop to calculate how many years the Japanese are ahead of you by. They’ll be watching their programming on their shiny new PSPs.
Coming as a surprising post E3 announcement, Sony will sell a 1seg TV tuner for the PSP, formally named as the PSP-S310. It will interface via USB and, though it lacks any DVR functionality, will require a Memory Stick to work.
The device will retail for the equivalent of $58 in the US of A.
Here in the states (and most countries in the world), our wireless networks are still taking their baby steps into total 3G coverage. So while Japan enjoys tether-less TV, we have to get a LocationFree Base Station and pray for Wi-fi wherever we end up.
