Every once in a while, a picture of something will appear on the internet with a recognizable brand name, and sends the wrong message. Take this picture I found today. Just to let you know, I’m pretty certain that Steve Jobs is not working on any project called the iThink. I think.
As you can see from this picture, the iThink is a Symbiosis Neural Interface that is designed to (but hopefully never will) link your mind to a computer. How is this possible? With an Intel Fusion Quantum processor, of course! It’s a new chip that can process at the speed of thought, and uses holographic storage options.
There is a lesson to be learned here about placing pictures on the web with corporate logos on them. By the way, I believe this iThink comes not from Mac, but a blog known as Monkey Buddha.
There is another lesson here about letting technology go out of control and wiring a computer to your brain. As soon as I saw this picture, I couldn’t help but think of that classic George Lucas work, THX-1138. Maybe it was the plain grey outfit, or the shaved head, or the potential that a computer could be used in your brain. Either way, it’s pretty creepy.
