iRiver rolls out new network, PMP, MP3, and GPS devices

iRiver has unveiled several new additions to its product line, including new network devices, portable media players and navigation units.

WaveHomeThe new network devices include the Wave-Home, what they describe as a “next generation multimedia communication home device.”  The wave offers an Internet Video Phone, web browser, photo viewer, FM radio, SMS/MMS capability, music, and video, all displayed on its 7” TFT-LCD WVGA (800x480) touch screen.  It also boasts a USB 2.0 connection, SD slot, 1.3MP camera, and a 10/100 Ethernet port.

The W10 is billed as a Multimedia Internet Phone.  It supports Wi-Fi and boasts a 3” TFT LCD touch screen, 4GB Nand Flash, and offers Internet phone, SMS, music downloading, FM radio, a photo viewer, a dictionary and even flash games.

While the D50N bills itself as a dictionary, it also offers a web browser, instant messenger, FM radio, 16GB of Nand Flash, a micro SD slot, voice recording, and more all on a 4.8” TFT LCD touch screen.

The final new network device is the P35.  It also supports WiFi, and has many of the features of the others, but this device also supports full move CODEC and video up to 30fps.  Other features include a built in mic and TV-out, an Office viewer, DMB, and more.

iRiver also unveiled several new portable media players, the P7, P10, and P7.  All offer full touch screens, FM radio, photo viewers and voice recording.

P7The P7 comes in 4, 8, and 16GB versions, has a micro SD slot for even more storage, supports full movie CODEC and claims 50hrs playback time for audio.  (No estimate was given for video playback as such variables as screen brightness will effect it.) It also boasts a 4.3” TFT LCD screen.

While the P7 offers flash storage, the P10 and P20 are HDD based. iRiver claims the P10 is the world’s first PMP to employ the 1.3 inch HDD form factor.  It offers 33GB of storage.  The P20 comes in 80 and 120GB HDD versions, offers a 4.1” AMOLED touch screen display, the iRiver SPINN user interface system, a multi card readers, built in mic, TV-out, e-dictionary, and flash games.

Other unveilings include a new line up of MP4 and MP3 players.  The E100 Season 2, is an all in one MP4 player with an FM radio and built in stereo speakers.  It comes in 2, 4, and 8GB versions with a micro SD slot, built in mic, and a 2.4” TFT LCD screen.

The compact E50 (its screen is a mere 1.8”) comes in 2 and 4GB versions and boasts 52 hours of continuous playback.

mplayereyesFor the kids, or just those young at heart, iRiver is offering two Mickey Mouse themed MP3 players.  MPlayer eyes is a 2GB flash player that comes in either sky blue or pink. Micky’s eyes glow white to show the current MP3 mode.

The MPlayer Season II is a 1GB flash player available in 10 fashion colors.

Finally. iRiver has introducted the NV Mini portable navigation device.  It offers 1GB of flash memory, a 3.5” TFT LCD screen, and video, music, and photo capabilities in addition to its GPS functions.
