Palm Pre Information & Updates
Palm just introduced their next-gen smartphone, the Palm Pre, and next-gen operating system, Palm webOS. Gadgetell's got the latest Pre and webOS information and news for you right here.

iRex has just announced a new and soon-to-be-available e-book reader, the iLiad Book Edition and with it comes some unique features. The iLiad notably offers an 8.1-inch XGA touchscreen-capable display. Other features include 256MB of flash memory, a 3.5mm output, USB connectivity, support for MMC and CF memory cards and the ability to read Mobipocket, PDF, HTML, TXT, JPG, BMP, and PNG files. The iLiad is powered by a 400MHz XScale CPU with 64MB of RAM.
The iLiad Book Edition is scheduled to go on sale Friday May 9 and retail for €499 (about $770 US), but will only be available in the European market.
While this is clearly missing one key item that the Kindle has going for it, the constant connection to the book store, the iLiad has the touchscreen, which is Wacom-based and makes a nice little tablet style display to take some notes during a class, lecture or meeting.
