iPhone in limited supply for launch, less than 40 per store
The iPhone is still not available in stores but there is already a shortage predicted. WR Hambrecht & Co. surveyed a number of AT&T retail stores to determine the potential demand for the upcoming release. They found that most of the stores are unsure as to when the iPhone will actually be in stock. The survey indicated that most locations expect to receive the phone on either June 15th or June 22nd and to only have a few in stock. The highest amount found (at one location) was 40 for the initial launch.
So will the potential shortfall of the iPhone lead to some overnight camp-outs in front of AT&T retail locations? It has been a while since it was first announced and I am sure you have been saving up those hard earned dollars so you don’t miss out on the initial release.
