iLoad up your iPod without a PC

by XXJacob Boxford on Apr 29, 2006 at 12:06 PM

iLoadTransferring music from a CD to an iPod without a PC sounds great.  The only problem is that the device costs about $250 and most likely you already have a PC.

Here is part of the iLoad story, how it got created (it’s from their website so don’t blame me):

One day a hip busy, on-the-go, creative, and energetic young urbanite, fresh out of college said one of those magical “I wish”... and the iLoad was born.  To her Dad, an energetic and creative guy, she said, “Dad, doesn’t it seem nuts that I can’t get music onto my new iPod without having to bootup and mess with a PC? I sure wish there was a way for me to just enjoy all of my music without the whole computer thing.”  The rest is history.

But forget the price and let’s check out the specs…

  • Transfers music at a rate of 20% of the actual play time
  • 7.40” long by 6.73” wide by 1.55” high
  • Glossy white color
  • Purchase only available from the iLoad website

All in all, it’s pretty good, considering it’s size and transportability, and I like their story.
