HP touts its first 13.3-inch laptop - the Pavilion dv3500t

by Arnold Zafra on Oct 1, 2008 at 09:17 AM

HPPavilion_dv3500tHP has just unveiled a first for the company with the HP Pavilion dv3500t.  It is the company’s first 13.3-inch notebook.  Available now at the HP online store at $999.99, the HP Pavilion dv3500t is a 4.12-pound notebook that features an Intel Core 2 Duo Processor, an NVIDIA GeForce 9300M GS 512MB video card, up to 8GB of RAM, up to a 400GB of HD, a 13.3 BrightView widescreen display with 16:10 aspect ratio.  The dv3500t also features a LED backlight panel and an under-keyboard backlighting as well.

HP has positioned this notebook to be an all-in-one entertainment notebook that can load recorded TV, photos, movies, music and more.  It also has built-in WiFi, a webcam, digital microphone, MediaSmart software and a “Magic Chrome” backlit button bar which contains entertainment functions.

Not enough features?  There’s more: a built-in mini remote control, Altec Lansing speakers, dual headphone, HDMI 1.3 port, built-in HP ProtectSmart Hard Drive protection, and a simplified password management.  Not a bad package for just under a $1000.
