How To: Upgrade the size of your TiVo

Sitting at home taking one more day before going back into work after the holidays? Why not grab your favorite DVR and make some slight adjustments that will beef up its memory? This is not a hack for the still-hung-over-from-New-Years, as it will require some hard core tech work.
The TiVo Series3 adds some nice functionality such as dual tuners, HD support and a larger hard drive but it was very late to arrive on the scene and rather overpriced - for $800 you had better get more than 250GB. The challenge for you is that the smiling recorder uses a SATA drive instead of IDE.
