Hope for WiFi speakers

Sony wifi dnla speaker

Maybe I feel a bit bad about bashing Sony for the Rolly folly, but here is something Sony is doing right.  If you type in “WiFi Speaker” into Google, you’ll find one production shown last January by Aussie company Avega that has been a bit of a no show.  I’ve got a ton of music on my computer and no stereo but lots of WiFi.  So you get a speaker with WiFi right?

Yes.  Sony is bringing this to life.  Akihabara is bring the extremely limited deets out now:

  • DNLA powered
  • MP3, ATRAC, WMA formats supported
  • It’s called the NAS-C5

Yep, that is all the info.  But, now there is a reason to hope.
