Helio has announced the Helio Player, serving as a replacement to the Helio Media Mover it offers an iTunes like layout, however unlike iTunes the Helio Player is not multi-platform and will currently work only with Windows. The Helio Player will work with the Fin, Drift, Heat and Ocean although some features are exclusive to the Ocean. Users will be able to:

  • Download copies of songs that were purchased on their device.
  • Buy music that can be played on their PC and device.
  • Gift songs to a friend (if they use Helio).
  • Beg for a song from a friend (if they use Helio).
  • Manage and play your music and videos.
  • Manage and view your pictures.
  • Transfer music or videos to your Heat, Drift or Fin.
  • Transfer music, video or pictures to and from your Ocean.
  • Transfer music from subscription services to include Napster, eMusic, Yahoo! Music.

It seems that while the Heat, Drift and Fin are great phones the Ocean is the one to choose, in addition to having some extra features with the Helio Player the Ocean was also just given the nice YouTube application.
