Helio charging for YouTube access

helio logoFresh off an exclusive with Verizon Wireles, YouTube has recently announced not only a mobile version but also the special iPhone app. It seems just about everyone that can get web access would be able to freely enjoy some funny videos, except maybe for Helio customers. A normally media friendly phone service has decided to charge their customers for access to YouTube. Later this year they will begin to offer a premium service called “Video Virus” for $5.99 a month and will include access to YouTube, eBaum’s World and some others. The new service will also include some extra perks such as 2-click uploads to YouTube. Just in case you are a Helio customer and need to get that mobile YouTube fix, here is a workaround.
