Grab a Vaio P for $700 thanks to Verizon

Sony VAIO P

Have you seen the new Sony VAIO P notebook and desired the portable media device with every ounce of your being?  Then, you look at the price tag and your heart sinks.  Due to the demand of the device, Sony has yet to offer any major deals on the product.  However, Verizon Wireless has now extended a $200 mail in rebate to its customers who purchase the Sony VAIO P.

In order to receive the $200 check, you’ll need to activate or renew your 2 year data plan with Verizon Wireless.  The offer is available through March 31 and before you can submit your rebate, your VAIO P needs to be activated for a minimum of 30 days.  The company will then process your rebate and mail out $200 in the form of a check or debit card.

Verizon Wireless has exclusively made this offer at this time and the Sony VAIO P already has Verizon Mobile Broadband built in to the device.  The $200 may not help that much in the long run though, since data plans start at $60 a month.
