Google Chrome to get extensions in May

by Robert Nelson on Feb 5, 2009 at 08:21 PM

Google Chrome to get extensions in MayDespite the fact I love the speed that Chrome offers, I just cannot move away from Firefox without having those extensions I have come to need.  Well, it seems that Chrome may be getting extensions sooner than later.  A discovery made by Nicholas Moline shows that Google will be having a conference on May 27 and one of those sessions is called “Developing extensions for Google Chrome.”

Now, while the session is scheduled and will take place on May 27 it does not indicate whether the support for extensions will come before or on May 27.  Personally, I hope that this session will show people how to develop for something that is released and available for use, however either way it looks May is looking promising.

Now, we can only hope that developers will come with the newly added support.  Also, and just in case anyone is listening, the one that I really cannot live without is Foxmarks, maybe we can get a Chromarks.
