Palm Pre Information & Updates
Palm just introduced their next-gen smartphone, the Palm Pre, and next-gen operating system, Palm webOS. Gadgetell's got the latest Pre and webOS information and news for you right here.

According to a spokesperson for Garmin-Asus, the M20 will be sold in the United States under AT&T at some point in the future. As of now, both the M20 and G60 started selling in Asian countries such as Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Thailand and Malaysia.
The spokesperson released this information to Pocket Lint, but did not give any indication to a European launch or when the American launch with AT&T will take place. The M20 is different than the G60 since it operates on Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional, while the G60 runs on Linux. At the time of its announcement, the phone was highly anticipated due to its innovative GPS and overall web capabilities. However, the iPhone and other smartphones have since caught up and offer equally powerful GPS apps. Garmin-Asus has decided that the respective company will manage marketing and sales where they have the most presence. For example, in the United States and Europe, Garmin is more well known than Asus, and will therefore manage marketing and sales. In Asia and parts of Europe, Asus has more presence and will manage marketing and sales there.
Now, according to Asustek chairman Jonney Shih, Garmin-Asus is “preparing to ship the Linux-based Nuvifone G60 smartphones to AT&T, which will start marketing the LBS (location-based service)-centric handsets in the North American market this quarter.” Unfortunately, AT&T hasn’t released any statements indicating that they will be selling both Nuvifone’s soon. Also, no prices have been released at this time.
