on November 26, 2006 at 06:28 AM - LINKWell I live in canada, and we don’t have Black Friday (our thanksgiving is in october), but there was a grand re-opening at a computer store near me, and they were giving away prizes to the first 100 people in store. So I ended up scoring an 18x DVD-RW and a 500GB HDD. So i’m happy. Not a very good story, but I needed a new hard drive (that’s why I was there in the first place), so in the end, it was a good day :)

on November 26, 2006 at 08:54 PM - LINKmy sons girlfriend had her hand on a sound system chair waiting for the signal. At 5:00 am when the festivities began “pushing, shoving and other high spirited Christmas joy”, she found out there was a woman on the other side of the box as well. Apparently a well placed butt solved Solomons dilema. Im getting her a blocking dummy for Christmas.

on November 27, 2006 at 01:23 AM - LINKHi, I’ll share my Black Friday deal! I drove past a Best Buy back home in New Orleans at around 1 p.m. Thanksgiving Day and there were probably 200 people in line already—and the store wasn’t opening ‘til 5 a.m. the next day! I figured I had no chance at the one thing I could afford and needed, but showed up at 7 a.m. and snapped up a 2GB memory stick normally priced at $103.99 for only $29.99...no rebate coupon required!
Thanks for offering the giveaway!
on November 27, 2006 at 01:29 AM - LINKNo cool stories this year. Last year though, my son got in line at Best Buy on an extremely cold night at 10PM the night before for a laptop for the next day’s opening....he was still 4th in line but did get the laptop....not much of a story but a yearly Black Friday happening, I guess…
