Gadgetell Rant: iPod Docks will start WWIII
Enough, no more for the love of God. Today, thanks to sales of Apple’s wonder gadget, the iPod, there are enough iPod docks for every man, woman and child on the planet to have 2. There is no need to make another one. We must end iPod dock proliferation.
You’ll find these docks in hotels, on TVs, and near computers thanks to the likes of companies like Belkin, DLO, JVC and countless others. Literally countless others. You can’t get away from them. The time has come to call for an end of iPod enrichment. We need no more.
An Anti-iPod Dock Proliferation (AiDP) treaty is needed, to be signed by all nations to insure no more iPod docks will be built. I am pretty sure we could get funding from Microsoft. Undoubtedly, some rogue evil nation will stockpile docks, perhaps even go so far as to hide them in the desert from our treaty inspectors. We must be vigilant in our stance against any further developments in the iPod dock arena. Surely, China will not sign this treaty as almost every dock I’ve seen has been produced there, and thus it represents a sizable chunk of their GDP. They won’t give that up with out a fight.
So, the AiDP Treaty will certainly erupt in brash negotiations only leading to the inevitable iWar, pitting treaty signers against China. All over an iPod dock. Here is my plea: stop. Please. We’ve enough docks for a our cars, planes, trains, desks, beds, TVs, stereos, beach house, out house, dog house… We are all set.
At the very least, please stop sending me links to new docks.
*disclaimer: none of the statements, as usual, are factual. And yes, I actually do want links to new docks. I can’t help myself.
