Here is my sad tale of woe (TRUE!):
I would like to win this contest because, unbeknownst to my wife, her Pantech Duo fell out of her pocket, onto the pavement, and filled with water during a rainstorm. I followed online advice to save it, and even purchased a new battery because the original was shot.
The Duo seems to be working but is only a shadow of its former self. This phone is critical to my wife, not just because it is cool to have a smartphone, but also because we have merged calendars, and Pocket Outlook on both of our phones saves us from calendar crashes and resulting marital collapse!
on April 20, 2009 at 12:15 PM - LINKI had to get a no camera phone for work last year, and so that lousy phone is all I have. But since then both of my kids have gotten cell phones and we’ve been actively talking and texting family and friends more and more since we moved. I would love this phone as my T9 texting skills are lousy and I would get loads of use out of a great phone like this. Also, I’m a long time Pocket PC person and the thought of wrapping up my phone and PDA together is fantastic!
on April 20, 2009 at 12:26 PM - LINKI am in the technology field and this phone would make life so much easier as I would be able to my emails and notifications for my clients
on April 20, 2009 at 12:31 PM - LINKand be able to track my appointments
Well, I am involved indirectly in the housing/realestate market. With a smartphone, since I am out of the office alot, It would enable me to keep abreast of any email communications or appointment requests out in the field. I don’t have to tell you what the housing market is like right now, but because my business is of off 50% plus I am not in a position to purchase a phone like this because of the economy downturn we are currently in. This would help my business, and project me as a more attainable/reachable business professional. This would act as a economic stimulus for my business by allowing me to work more efficently when out of the office which is for the most part 85% of the time and possibly pick up lost business as well!
on April 20, 2009 at 01:07 PM - LINKI would love this phone. I would love to be able to get on the internet at any time and place and check emails and find out what I can do on a phone like this. I have only had the regular old cell phones. This would be neat to see and show people what a new phone like this is like. I have seen where many people are using their phones to do all sorts of things. I have to be honest and say I don’t need it for work because I am a stay at home mom and my husband doesn’t have to have it for his work. I just want a shot at having something that is great like this phone is. I could have tons of fun and get lots of use out of it. Thanks for the chance.
on April 20, 2009 at 01:57 PM - LINKOh my goodnes, I havent’ been so fortunate to have a cell phone with an audio and video player yet. My phone is a Flintstone of phones compared to phones now. I would love to have one!!
on April 20, 2009 at 02:04 PM - LINKI would LOVE to win this phone because all I can EVER afford are the crappy phones that last for about 6 months! I am SICK and TIRED of the phone drama. This would be amazing and help me out so much.
on April 20, 2009 at 02:05 PM - LINKThis would be great for my job as well and make life a whole lot easier!
I’d love this to give to my son. He lost his phone and is in need of a new one.
on April 20, 2009 at 02:07 PM - LINKI would like this phone because it is amazing and it would be neat to not have to argue with the teenager at the store as to why they should have to replace my phone that went flaky after 3 months. It would also make me more efficient. Who am I kidding, it would be a cool phone to have.
on April 20, 2009 at 02:12 PM - LINKMy current phone is kind of a has-been. I would like an ensmartened phone like this Pantech phone. That nice keyboard would make it a lot easier for me to Tweet on the go.
on April 20, 2009 at 02:13 PM - LINKI could always use another phone.
on April 20, 2009 at 02:13 PM - LINKI would like to win this awesome new phone because my current phone is in a very sad state! :(
on April 20, 2009 at 02:14 PM - LINKI have an old Nokia 6133. This would be a nice upgrade to have!!
on April 20, 2009 at 02:15 PM - LINKI would like to win this phone because I bought an HTC Fuze and have become disenchanted with its weight, bulk and quirks. My wife got a Matrix at the same time I got my Fuze and that is such a cool little phone. I needed more functionality than it could provide but now it can provide it!
All Hail The Pantech Matrix Pro! :)

on April 20, 2009 at 02:16 PM - LINKI would like to win because this is one kool-ass looking prize.
on April 20, 2009 at 02:18 PM - LINKOther then trhis i honestly do not have a good reason.
But this is one awsome blog to read.
I’m getting kicked off my parent’s cell phone plan soon. I’d love to not have to shell out a bunch for a new phone or have to settle for a free one with commitment.
on April 20, 2009 at 02:19 PM - LINKi would like this phone because mine is literally falling apart and desperately need a new one - and its always better to win one than to buy one. thanks!
on April 20, 2009 at 02:22 PM - LINKMy gadget budget is down to nill. I would love to have this phone, as I will likely hand it down to either my wife or daughter at a later date, and that will save us even more money in the long run.
Thanks and good luck to all who are entering!
on April 20, 2009 at 02:23 PM - LINKChris Spera
I used all my money to replace lost head phones, left with not money for a new phone. Thanks for the contest!
on April 20, 2009 at 02:32 PM - LINKUgh, this phone is amazing! Allow me to tell you my story of my current phone!
Back in the day, I got a Razr. This was pretty long after they were “Cool” and “Trendy”, and were more “Only 25 bucks after you purchase two, sign a three year contract, send in seven-thousand different rebates and sacrifice a lamb to Motorolos, God of all Motorola products.” My dad got the same phone, as per part of the plan, and gave the other to me as a gift. Now, the phone is pretty functional all things considered. I’ve had it for about two years. However… Even with a replacement battery, it’s been loosing charges faster than normal, and the center silver button has fallen off, now leaving the ugly plastic nubby exposed. The backlit buttons don’t function. Most of the stuff is aesthetic, but I think it’d still be nice to finally move into the realm of owning a smart phone!
on April 20, 2009 at 02:34 PM - LINKI like it because it’s all shifty and such. Much cooler than my blackberry.
on April 20, 2009 at 02:35 PM - LINKI would love this phone to replace my very old samsung.. Thanks for the chance at a great phone!
on April 20, 2009 at 02:36 PM - LINKBecause I want to scrap my crappy iPhone and move to the glorious world of Windows Mobile (not!) - it would be “fun and interesting” to have a WinMobile phone, having owned every other smartphone OS on the planet (Symbian, S60, iPhone, Palm, Blackberry), but no WinMo
on April 20, 2009 at 02:40 PM - LINKDoes it work under water ?
on April 20, 2009 at 02:40 PM - LINKI’m trying to get my wife sliding toward Windows Mobile, so we can share schedules and the like a little better. I have a Tilt through work, and the Matrix would be IDEAL for her.
She’s got a sorry old RazR, people… She needs the upgrade.
