Gadgetell giveaway: Apple welcomes you to 2007, and we want to know what you want

Wow if this doesn’t create excitement what does? Apple has changed their homepage image to the one seen above.
The first 30 years were just the beginning. Welcome to 2007.
As if there was not enough buzz around the company, they have certainly succeeded in reinvigorating the rumors and longing for shiny new gadgets and software in 2007. We already know that Apple will be upgrading their OS, from Tiger to Leopard around Q3 2007 as well as entering the living room space via the “iTV.“ Other expectations are a HD Apple Cinema display with HDMI, Blu-ray support for the Mac Pro, the long awaited Apple phone, as well as the forever rumored video iPod.
Can we expect other new products/services from Apple? Be sure of it. How about some thinner, faster, sleeker MacBook Pros, maybe a MacBook tablet, doubling the memory of the nano and shuffle, HD iTunes downloads, more movie studios on iTunes, as well as other gadgets here and there.

My wish for 2007 would be an apple ipod video or and HDTV
Thank you for your contest
on January 6, 2007 at 02:35 AM - LINKI’d love to be able to have other options for using my ipod other than only itunes. That’s my favorite feature that the microsoft zune is offering. Itunes doesn’t have all of the songs I want, some of the other places do.
on January 6, 2007 at 02:54 AM - LINKApple has the best innovations. Now if I could just get an iPod for myself I’d be a happy camper.
on January 6, 2007 at 03:00 AM - LINKWhat I’d really like to see for the iPod is chapter support and position memory for audiobooks purchased on CDs (or the ability to encode CDs into audiobook format). Video playback in HD or at least progressive, as well as additional formats (DV-AVI, MPEG-2, etc) would be great for taking in-progress edits to clients. Longer battery life, or alternate power sources; high-res audio playback for proofing mastering for consumer audio equipment.
For my TV, an HD tuner/DVR/reciever with inputs for my PC, game system, and an iPod dock to play video or audio. And maybe a built-in audio amplifier.
Thanks for the hard work!
on January 6, 2007 at 03:01 AM - LINKWould be excited to win ANYTHING!
on January 6, 2007 at 03:40 AM - LINKFor 2007 I would love to see Apple produce more limited edition numbered iPods - With various themes and shapes. Mixing Apples with Oranges to get a nice variety!
I also would like to see a 2007 kid/tween friendly iPod. I can hear it now—Mom I dropped my 2006 Christmas iPod, and now it doesn’t work.
Apple’s got everything in the bag when it comes to the advance of blu-ray, and other technologies.
Apple is going to have one nice, and crispy 2007.
on January 6, 2007 at 03:41 AM - LINKI would love to have an Ipod for my daughter.
on January 6, 2007 at 04:06 AM - LINKFor 2007 I would like to see an ipod with larger screen that is scratch resistant.
on January 6, 2007 at 04:28 AM - LINKI am looking forward to the new phone. I hope that it has website access and all the other bells and whistles that the best phones carry. And I also hope that it is well made and doesn’t break down easily.
on January 6, 2007 at 04:51 AM - LINKI’d love to see a few things from Apple this year:
1.) A better way for Ipods to play through a car stereo.
2.) I would like to see a full size video Ipod that makes video more better to see.
3.) Waterproof Ipod while you are taking a bath or shower.
4.) Ipod + Smartphone in one.
5.) A Ipod with ability to hold longer battery chargers.
on January 6, 2007 at 05:55 AM - LINKHmmm, ooo all the stuff I would like to see.
on January 6, 2007 at 06:38 AM - LINKPersonally, im still trying to get my funds up for a Video Ipod, and by that time you never know what 2007 will bring…
As far as from Apple, as someone stated before, I would love to see a better car audio connection for my ipod.
I would also love to see a camera built into the iPod.
Wireless Itunes connection for all iPods would be cool.
Since your support and innovations surpase my desires, I have a hard time thinking of requests - a better battery is always appreciated.
