Ahh the month of May. The rain begins to let up, the flowers start to bloom, the weather warms up, you are either getting closer to the end of school or dreading being in the office for the summer, weekend trips, and Memorial Day, what could get better? Nothing will ever be good for you if you forget to get your mother a well deserved Mother’s Day present (now only 5 days away). If you are like us, you tend to buy a present at the last minute, and often have to order it so it ends up coming in late—though you save the day with flowers as a placeholder—so why break the streak this year.  Heck, Gadgetell and Best Buy will even help you out.

So what are we suggesting/giving away?
Surprise and delight mom with either a pink or silver 4GB Apple iPod nano (we have one of each) and a variety of gourmet chocolates – all wrapped up in one package that is both easy to give and a joy to receive (a $214.99 value). We will do our best to get this to you by Saturday but there is always the possibility that it does not arrive until Monday—so make sure to pick-up flowers for Sunday.

Whether mom is an avid runner, a dancing queen, or an aspiring diva, she will love taking her music with her everywhere she goes on her iPod nano, easily stored in her palm, pocket or purse. From her old disco favorites to her secret classic rock obsessions, having her own personal soundtrack to accompany her will make even the most mundane tasks more fun. What’s more, this special gift set pairs mom’s love of music with her love of chocolate and wraps them in a charming, polka-dotted box inspired by the prism of iPod nano colors and the retro design that is all the rage this spring.

My mom is FINALLY entering the 21st century.  She has tackled using her DVD player, CD player and now her Cell Phone.  The next step is an IPOD.  She doesn’t drive any more, so she spends a lot of time waiting for buses (or me) to pick her up for any kind of trip outside her apartment.  In particular, she would look sooooo cool on the Senior Center shuttle bus listening to her IPOD.  She’d definitely be the envy of all the other little grey-haired ladies.

My mom deserves a Nano because she always worked hard while I was growing up to make sure I had everything I needed even though she was an only parent.

My mother finally decided to enter the tech age.  She really wants to listen to her favorite songs.  This win is exactly what she needs.

My mom has never asked for anything in her life.  I don’t think she had much of a childhood.  She is the youngest of 8 children and has always been a nurturer.  Her father died when she was young and she has worked so hard for everything she has.  I think she was born being a mom.  For once, I would like for her to have an unexpected and well deserved surprise.

My mom was my Boss in a family business building homes for low-income elderly and handicapped, until a heart attack and the onset of Leukemia required me to become her caregiver.  Considering she was a Polio survivor her achievements are priceless and I cannot give back enough.

My mom has the challenge of making sure 3 boys, 2 teenagers and one little one take the right road in life, she has taught me that even when sky’s are gray, never, never, give up on our dreams. She always makes us responsible for ourselves, never blaming anyone else on our mistakes. Plus she enjoys some of our music, which makes road trips more fun!!!!

My mom passed away in ‘92, but she was the best! She taught me about life and love. She taught me how to cook, which later turned me into a professional baker. I miss my mom so much. Now, that I’m getting married on Christmas day, I really wish she could be there.

My mother is one amazing woman! My sister and I are getting married 5 days apart from each other this July so she is working her butt off to make both of our weddings spectacular and unforgettable. I don’t know where she gets all this energy from.
I would love to give her an Ipod Nano to repay her for all of her hard work putting together two weddings.

My mom is truely a saint. She has so many people she takes care of that she is under no obligation to do so. She is always on the go . She is overworked and way underappreciated, but much loved.

My mom is the most incredible, giving woman. It would be wonderful to give something as nice as an ipod back to her.

My mom is the biggest “giver” I know. She is a big animal lover and takes in strays and TRIES to find them good homes, but we end up keeping most of them. For Christmas she sends big packages of new toys and clothes to Mexico for orphans and usually adopts a couple of kids and fills their Christmas wishes. She gets the whole family involved. We don’t get as much for Christmas, but it IS better to give than to receive. She’s absolutely a GREAT woman - and by the way, has always been a Single Mom and has done a SPLENDID job!!!

My mother has been there for my dad through all the ups and downs of cancer. He has had oral cancer 4 times in the last 16 years. He is now on a feeding tube and has part of his leg bone as his jaw and Mom still holds his hand and together they face the day.

Seven children, eighteen grandchildren, yet she still has time for each one of us and makes us feel like we get her undivided attention.  She’s an amazing mom!

  • amy mayer said:

Why does she deserve this—simply because she is a “mom” and with everything a mom does -doesn’t she deserve ANY treat?

  • Jessica said:

My mother never asks for anything and has been a happy housewife for 30 year’s. IT is now her time to have fun and she loves music and deserves a nice new IPOD.
