Gadgetell Giveaway: a 4 GB iPod and Chocolates for Mom

Ahh the month of May. The rain begins to let up, the flowers start to bloom, the weather warms up, you are either getting closer to the end of school or dreading being in the office for the summer, weekend trips, and Memorial Day, what could get better? Nothing will ever be good for you if you forget to get your mother a well deserved Mother’s Day present (now only 5 days away). If you are like us, you tend to buy a present at the last minute, and often have to order it so it ends up coming in late—though you save the day with flowers as a placeholder—so why break the streak this year. Heck, Gadgetell and Best Buy will even help you out.
So what are we suggesting/giving away? Surprise and delight mom with either a pink or silver 4GB Apple iPod nano (we have one of each) and a variety of gourmet chocolates – all wrapped up in one package that is both easy to give and a joy to receive (a $214.99 value). We will do our best to get this to you by Saturday but there is always the possibility that it does not arrive until Monday—so make sure to pick-up flowers for Sunday.
Whether mom is an avid runner, a dancing queen, or an aspiring diva, she will love taking her music with her everywhere she goes on her iPod nano, easily stored in her palm, pocket or purse. From her old disco favorites to her secret classic rock obsessions, having her own personal soundtrack to accompany her will make even the most mundane tasks more fun. What’s more, this special gift set pairs mom’s love of music with her love of chocolate and wraps them in a charming, polka-dotted box inspired by the prism of iPod nano colors and the retro design that is all the rage this spring.

My mom is the nicest woman you’d ever meet. She deserves to get something nice
on May 9, 2007 at 03:54 PM - LINKMy mom has so much love to give. She’s now taking care of her mother who has alzheimer’s, which takes a lot out of her. She really needs something like the nano so she can unwind.
on May 9, 2007 at 03:56 PM - LINKMy mother is a wonderful person. She works for a school and has taken care of hundreds, if not thousands, of kids during her tenure. She is well loved by many. I think everyone who loves her would agree that she should win a iPod.
on May 9, 2007 at 03:59 PM - LINKMom was ALWAYS there for us. A real stay-at-home mom. Homeroom mother, den mother, etc. THE BEST. She deserves to win!!
on May 9, 2007 at 04:07 PM - LINKMy mom has had a rough year. Her and my dad owned a restaurant for over 8 years and had to close it down this year due to the economy. On top of that she lost her job so they’re really hurting for money right now.
My dad has been in and out of the hospital for heart reasons and she keeps trying to put up a strong front for the four of us kids. Her youngest is getting married this year and they can’t afford to put much towards the wedding, but they’re trying.
She told me just last week that her iPod just broke and she was going to see if she could find one for cheap. I’d love to win this for her and make a little sunshine shine on her this year.
on May 9, 2007 at 04:10 PM - LINKMy mom deserves something fun and sweet like this. She spent months caring for her mom who recently passed away. Now things are starting to get back to normal, except her normal is now skewed. I’d love to see her smile opening this up!

on May 9, 2007 at 04:29 PM - LINKMy mom is the best because she drives 6 days a week to either soccer, track, volleyball, Destination Imagination, solo and ensembles or Science Olympiad games, practices or concerts for me and my two sisters. I would love her to have something nice!
on May 9, 2007 at 04:35 PM - LINKMy mom recently took up walking to improve her health. She has fibromyalgia and sometimes it’s tough. She’s an avid music fan and likes to listen to music when she walks, she says music helps her push through when she starts to feel a little tired. She has a rinky-dink mp3 player that only holds around 1 cd. If she had an ipod she could listen to whatever music she was in the mood for.
on May 9, 2007 at 04:38 PM - LINKBesides, she’s the greatest mom in the world and I love her.
My wife is about to become a mom as we welcome an 8 year old into our lives. She would love an ipod for her running!

on May 9, 2007 at 04:56 PM - LINKI would love for Mom to have her own iPod so she can return mine.
on May 9, 2007 at 04:58 PM - LINKMy mom is the one who has always…ALWAYS…been there for me and believed in me. When I couldn’t find anyone else to depend on, I could always count on her to be near and supportive.
on May 9, 2007 at 05:01 PM - LINKMy mom is so cool…she has made sure that my brother and I have had the iPods we want (first the nano, then the video) and she does without just so we can have ours. She’s a single parent, so I know what a sacrifice it is for her to get the expensive things for my brother and I.
on May 9, 2007 at 05:02 PM - LINKAt the age of 78 Mom still goes out on her riding lawn tractor to cut the grass. The time spent would be so much more enjoyable with an ipod to listen to her favorite music.

on May 9, 2007 at 05:06 PM - LINKMy mom raised me and she deserves the highest award the military issues during times of war.

on May 9, 2007 at 05:14 PM - LINKMy mom takes care of my daughter a couple of days a week, so that I can not only work but have some free time with my husband. She is saving my sanity, and really deserves a treat!
on May 9, 2007 at 05:29 PM - LINKMy mom works extremely hard, she always has, she always will. She puts everyone and their needs and wants before her own. I would like my mom to have something nice, that is all hers.
on May 9, 2007 at 05:31 PM - LINKMy mom worked 7 days a week, without a single vacation, for most of her adult life; all in order to give her kids the best she could. Now that we’re all out of the house and she’s retired - she wants to do nice things for herself but just doesn’t know how. That’s why I’m always trying to get her fun, self-indulgent things.
