Fujifilm adds the Finepix F60fd to its F-Series digital camera line

Fujifilm’s F-series digital camera line also got a new family member with the introduction of the Finepix F60fd. Geared for photo enthusiasts of all levels, the F60fd feature Fujifilm’s SR Auto (Scene Recognition) mode which facilitates automatic identification of subjects, scenes and faces before adjusting exposure, focus, white balance and ISO to come up with clear and crisp photos.

Other features of this compact 12-megapixel point-and-shoot include a 1/1.6” Super CCD HR sensor, 3x optical zoom, and a 3-inch LCD. Its got dual image stabilization and face detection 3.0 technology with automatic red eye removal functionality. The F60fd can take photos from 5fps to 12fps, has 13 pre-programmed scene modes, can use ISO settings of up to 1600 at its 12MP resolution, or 3200 at 6MP or 6400 at 3MP. This goes without saying that this camera can take great quality photos even in a low-light environment. In addition, it supports xD/SD/SDHC media card for photo storage.

The Finepix F60fd is slated for a September 2008 release and will have a retail price of $299.95.
