Europe grabbing at 16GB iPhone?

This recent ‘alleged’ advert in Germany saying that the iPhone would be 16GB, available on T-Mobile and shipping in November smacks of a fanboy playing with photoshop. It also makes 100% sense which is somewhat of a dilemma.

With the demise of the 4GB iPhone, and the introduction of the 16GB iPod Touch we know the flash memory is available and as the iPhone is the more superior product you would expect it to have at least the same amount of memory.

The pricing options may be of interest to the US Market as they reflect the trend in Europe for different call plans inclusive of texts (no paying to receive a text here in Europe), although all plans would carry unlimited data and the phone would apparently work on both HSDPA and UMTS so would be equally at home in Europe as the US.

Rumors have circulated that T-Mobile will be the carrier and they have a good foothold across Europe and Germany in particular. Although they haven’t confirmed this they have previously been ‘caught’ preparing marketing material. For the record 02 in the UK and Orange in France are the other countries rumored to be getting the iPhone.

    That ad is fake!

First it says a 16GB iPod, and secondly the ad is not in the same style as other German T-Mobile ads.
