This is one of those stories that I’m not certain is real, because it sounds a little paranoid to be true. Apparently, a company known as Lamperd Less Lethal, Inc. has created an airline wristband that would not only replace tickets, but track the passenger.
Apparently, a GPS tracker is affixed in the bracelet so the flight attendants can track where the passengers are in relation to the plane. Now they will know for sure if you’re getting up to use the bathroom while the “Fasten Seatbelt Sign” is displayed.
Another function is that so that those in charge of the plane can shock you. That way, if a crazy passenger tries to take over a plane, the captain, sky marshal, or flight attendant can shock the heck out of that would-be terrorist, immobilizing them for several minutes.
Unfortunately, I have heard that if the shock button is used, then it will probably take out the other braceleted passengers nearby. That is, if this story is true.
The reason why I doubt this story’s reliability is it sounds like something in a dystopian science fiction novel where nobody trusts anyone. I can just see the long lines of passengers to get their bracelets like cattle herded to be branded. Are we that afraid of terrorists hijacking planes that we would go to these lengths to prevent it?
