Drivers in Leopard point towards new MacBooks?

by Indraneel Purohit on Oct 29, 2007 at 12:29 PM

Intelx3100 Drivers

With only 2 full days under its publicly-released belt, Leopard is already revealing a lot about possible changes or additions to Apple’s upcoming product line.

Inside Leopard’s system folders are drivers for the Intel GMA X3100; a chipset only soldered onto Santa Rosa-based notebooks.  As you may know, MacBook’s are the only notebooks that use integrated graphics, as the MacBook Pro’s use dedicated VRAM cards.

This probably foreshadowed what many have been speculating; an upgrade to the MacBook line soon.

It would be a welcome change to a notebook line that has been stagnant (aside from technical upgrades) for over a year now.
