Full FeedDell XPS M1330 faces shipping delays
If you’re (still) waiting on your M1330, you are probably more than aware of the increasingly negative comments over at Direct2Dell.
It looks like some orders have finally started to ship, but even they are prone to delay, and it seems that no one has any confidence in the delivery schedules quoted. Still blaming new ‘manufacturing processes’ Dell will hopefully resolve this sooner rather than later

Dell Xps M1330 Recieved…!!!
on August 4, 2007 at 09:57 PM - LINKHello everybody….I think iam a lucky chappie to write a blog on the Dell xps M1330…Atlast after my long wait(Not more than u all…but only 19 days…cud u believe)...i recieved my Black dell Xps m1330….it was a frustrating wait when i saw all the blogs at direct2dell…thiking that i’ll also have to wait like all…but thanks to dell atlast i recieved it…i was stunned after opening the box…d quality n finish is awesome..!!!...i never thought dell wud ever come up with such head turning design….really kool one dell….d aluminium finish is awesome….n its really light….from d backside….with dell XPS logo engraved in steel on the black magnesium alloy lid…its looks really premium….i loved sony for d logo n style…but dis time i rate dell more than sony…d XPS logo in steel is awesome…..!!!!...I got a low configuration, mayb tats why i was delivered earlier….my configuration was 1.5 ghz processor, 1 gb Ram, 160Gb,Nvidia, Finger print reader, Led display with 0.3 Mp cam…n tuxedo black screen….but 1 thing i can assure that it handles aero of vista with ease….flip 3d looks gr8..!!! Donno abt others who ordered 2 gb ram or more n 2.2 ghz processor…may b i have 1 thing to say…it wud b like cars rollin on a runway of planes…!!!...gr8..performance…overall….n d massive 160 Gb hard drive…i dont bother to keep hell lot of movies…..but about the Vga cam..tats not really tat gud…well u cant hope more from a Vga cam…n d finger print sensor is kool…u can lock hard drive, files, logon ....n d striped silver in black luk is also new ...which i think we havent have seen in ny other laptop….i got around 7 cds/dvds along with d package….also a vista in local language…a small bag to hold d laptop only…not d charger….but d bag luks n feels premium..it exactly fits d laptop….the new hinge system is also very smooth….somewat close to apple ones…..touchpad…is small..but doesnt bother me…touch sensitive buttons r gud…but d cd eject button at tims doesnt work…whn u r trying to remove d cd whn something is being installed…but gud enough…it has a thin taper design but d back doesnt feel tat thick…whn u carry it…it feels light…n u dont get bothered abt d thickness…not tat noticeable…i re-partitioned n installed evrything but cudnt succeed in installing media direct…lil crappy…but i feel i wont use tat….tats why did go on wid it….but all in all..a gr8 package…for d price…n a recommended buy…for all…who love power as well as style…!!!! Lastly..something abt d shipment ...i ordered on 16th July…got shipped on 22nd July…n delivered 3rd August….lead time for me is not tat long…mayb for d low configuration…well dell said d very 1st day to deliver on 3rd n dey did it,,,,gr8 work Dell…never expected tat…in such a tight situation whn thr is a lot of supply shortage…!!!

Gr8 news. I’m still awaiting mine. Its Red. Meanwhile I need a help on re partitioning the hard drive. If you could help me on that would be great.
on August 7, 2007 at 05:37 AM - LINKWell no issues in partitioning thr hard drive.But media direct actually creates a problem. If you are going for a full hard drive partition then 1st boot using the media direct cd.then select the 2nd option & set ur primary drive to around 25 gb(good enough for vista).Then install vista & then install all the drivers & restart the laptop. Insert the media direct cd again when in vista desktop screen.Then install media direct.After it finished installation it will work ok , both vista & media direct. Then goto disk management & use the unpartioned space to crate as many drives you require.Njoy.

It’s still on the 2ND fase!, i’ve called dell like 3 times allready.. got the same answer every time (PARTS PARTS AND PARTS!).. school had already begun, and no laptop ..:S :S !! btw the one that i ordered is RED, with lcd ,3.0 mpx.
