Confirmed: Sprint to launch the Blackberry 8130 Pearl in November
Sprint has confirmed the Blackberry 8130 Pearl will launch in November. While a specific date has not yet been announced, we at least have a confirmed time frame and also the full specs. A phone that seems to be just as exciting for the customers as well as Sprint.
“The Pearl 8130 is the best BlackBerry candy bar form factor ever launched by Sprint,” said Danny Bowman, vice president of customer equipment for Sprint. “Operating on the Sprint Mobile Broadband Network, the BlackBerry Pearl 8130 combines advanced smartphone features in an innovative design so customers can leave the laptop behind and live large, all at SprintSpeed™.”
The Sprint Blackberry 8130 Pearl will feature:
- Built-in GPS
- A 2 MP camera with enhanced flash for pictures and video recording
- External microSD/SDHC memory card slot for additional storage
- Enhanced background noise, wind and echo cancellation
- Stereo Bluetooth support and 3.5mm stereo headset jack
- Improved media player and desktop media manager
In addition to those great features the Pearl will also include access to the Sprint Music Store, Sprint TV(SM), OnDemand and Sprint Navigation. Currently we are still waiting for both an exact launch date and pricing information.
