CompuLab has unveiled its latest desktop PC, the fit-PC Slim and it is quite possibly one of the smallest PC’s to date. The fit-PC slim measures in at 4.3 x 3.9 x 1.2-inches and surprisingly still manages to pack in a fairly efficient set of specs. Of course, it is not going to be a work horse, but it should be more than suitable for a secondary “Internet appliance” computer.

The fit-PC is available in four configurations, all of which feature a 500MHz AMD Geode LX800 processor, have three USB ports, a power button and activity indicator lights located on the front and use a standard 2.5-inch hard drive. As for the energy efficiency, the fit-PC Slim was noted as using just 3 to 5 watts of power.

The lowest price model comes in at $220 and includes 256MB of RAM, but lacks the built-in Wi-Fi and any hard drive. Moving up just one level doubles the RAM to 512MB adds the built-in Wi-Fi, but still leaves the hard drive out; this model will set you back $245.

Finally, the remaining two models include a 60GB hard drive, 512MB of RAM and built-in Wi-Fi. The pricing for these two vary depends on the OS that will be installed. Users have the option to choose a dual-booting Ubuntu 8.04 and Gentoo 2008.0 for $295 or Windows XP Home for $335.
