CherryPal PC delayed for two-weeks or maybe longer
The low-cost and low-powered CherryPal PC that was expected to begin shipping this month has been officially delayed. Overall its not a good sign of things to come from the CherryPal PC, the delay is reported to be for at least two weeks, but it may be longer, and as of now there has not been another release date announced.
The cause of the delay comes from a last minute decision to upgrade the SSD to a better quality drive, and it seems that the drive is no longer playing nicely with the software. While its nice to see that they are making improvements even at the last minute, I cannot help but be a little skeptical, especially considering that the CherryPal was supposed to be complete and ready to go back in July.
Another not so good sign, according to company reps, anyone who had placed a pre-order will be offered a refund should they decide not to wait. You know, just in case we never see the CherryPal come to market.

You people are sooo pessimistic! This little box runs Vista just fine! If there are some hardware issues they can be resolved easily!

The best update I’ve gotten on availability is that the delay is due to a last minute decision to upgrade the solid state storage to a faster, higher quality version than planned. The hardware is working perfectly but the software requires some tweaks to fully optimize the OS to the new hardware. I think its worth the wait as there is nothing else available at the price point of $239 (using code CPP206).
