CES 2009 Preview: Panasonic wants you to be “Living in Hi-Definition”
Special Features
Palm Pre Information & Updates
Palm just introduced their next-gen smartphone, the Palm Pre, and next-gen operating system, Palm webOS. Gadgetell's got the latest Pre and webOS information and news for you right here.

We told you it was coming: 3DTV. And now at CES 2009, Panasonic is going to be showing off just that.
Matsushita Electric Co, Ltd. is using their Panasonic brand to demonstrate a 103-inch plasma 3DTV and Blu-ray disc player that delivers high def images (1920 x 1080 pixels for both eyes). Users are still required to wear special glasses. These glasses are synchronized shutter glasses and not quite the same as the funky plastic orange ones you may be imagining.
Their system works in a way that it incorporates two complete HD images at the recording, playback, and display stages. Matsushita says that they have found a way to place both sets of HD images for a full movie onto one Blu-Ray Disc, as well as defined a way to decode and perform real-time play back the two HD images from the drive.
Ok, so obviously majorly cool if this actually comes to market. You know, for real people, not just to showcase for us to look at and drool over. Then again, can you just imagine the pricetag on this puppy?!
I’m also curious to see if the touted 3DTV is going to be on a Viera since that is the one Panasonic is showing off at CES. Keep it right here for more info as Gadgetell brings you all the latest from CES, including updates on Panasonic’s 3DTV.
