by Zack Teibloom on Jan 5, 2009 at 06:10 PM

Eaton Base Station Home HearbeatEaton’s Home Heartbeat is a product designed to relieve homeowners who worry about their home while they’re away from home.  The product allows you to check-in on everything from whether you left the garage door open to the wetness of your basement floor with just a text message.  As it’s described on their web site, “Sensors keep the pulse of your home in check.  They monitor the status of things and alert you as soon as a change occurs.  Is the window open or closed? Is the basement floor wet or dry?  Is the light on or off?  Home Heartbeat sensors will let you know.”  According to their Web site, The Starter Pack contains the base station, a HomeKey, and an open/closed sensor and starts at $224.95.
