Canadians to get LG VU through Rogers Wireless

by David Gonzales on Apr 7, 2008 at 08:37 AM

LG Vu touchscreen phone

While we’re waiting for AT&T’s release of the LG Vu here in the US, Canadians are going to get their own LG Vu’s, courtesy of a local wireless carrier, Rogers Wireless. Basically nothing will change with the LG Vu’s feature set, and it’s only in the deal to take advantage the super-fast HSDPA network of Rogers Wireless. So it’s safe to say that it will be the same touchscreen and virtual QWERTY keyboard endowed mobile phone, featuring a 2-megapixel camera with auto focus lens, music player with 4GB of storage, a full HTML browser and the aforementioned HSDPA network support. Unfortunately at this point, like AT&T, neither Rogers Wireless nor LG have provided any pricing and availability details (other than saying it will be out by May), but these are surely going to come from another official announcement shortly.
