Book your flights through Google with Google Flight

by Doug Berger on Nov 1, 2005 at 07:36 PM

Google FlightGoogle has quietly launched their search technology that allows you to search for flights.  Dubbed Google Flights, the search giant now lets you search for airport codes for any airport in the world.  For example, if I wanted to travel from LA to New York, I would type in “LAX to NYC” or “Los Angeles to New York.”  Airport codes are supported.  The results would look like this:

Google Flight

As you can see, the search engine takes you to a search results page that prompts the user to enter departing and returning flight dates.  I wonder how much Google makes for each flight booked with Expedia, Hotwire and Orbitz.  I guess we’ll have to wait and see how much their stock price goes up.
In other news, Yahoo! now has Yahoo! Travel.
