Even with the lack of any real details, this does sound good. It would also appear to be a move that could help place Blockbuster back in the game, that is, at least in terms of competing with Netflix. Of course, the press release announcement did leave out some of the important details such as pricing, and we all know that could make or break a service. Not to mention the press release also gave little indication of which phones will be supported or when the service will go live.
This sounds like a service that could have some real potential, but I will have to reserve judgment until we see more details. If nothing else, it could hopefully spur some competition in the market and force Netflix to consider a similar partnership with a mobile company.
