Blaupunkt has announced three new GPS devices which use the company’s very own software for navigation. The Travelpilot 100, 200 and 300 will have improved POI’s and can also import police radar information.

Both the Travelpilot 100 and 200 are equipped with the Centrality Atlas III GPS receiver, a 3.5-inch touchscreen display with 320 x 240 resolution, runs on Centrality Atlas III dual core processor at 400MHz, integrated 1GB ROM memory, support for SD/MMC memory card reader of up to 16GB, USB 2.0, 3-hour battery life and is running Windows CE 5.0 with Blaupunkt navigation software. The only difference between the Travelpilot 100 and 200 is the presence of an Integrated RDS/TMC receiver in the Travelpilot 200, and the TeleAtlas maps of France, Belgium, Luxembourg, along with other major European locations.

The biggest difference among the three GPS systems was best exhibited by the high-end Travelpilot 300. Aside from sporting a 4.3-inch touchscreen with a 480 x 272 resolution, the Travelpilot 300 also has 3GB of ROM memory, a handsfree Bluetooth kit, a longer battery life of 5-hours, audio file reader that supports MP3, OGG and WMA files, video player, images viewer. Like the Travelpilot 200, the 300 also sports a Tele Atlas. Only the TeleAtlas now covers 21 countries of Western Europe. Likewise the Travelpilot 300’s navigation software also includes speed limits and radar management data. 

Both the Travelpilot 100 and 200 will be available at the end of March with price tags of $198 and $275. While the Travelpilot 300 is slated to be released around April with a higher price of around $460.
