Blackberry Storm photos: The Real Thing?

by Jodie Andrefski on Sep 26, 2008 at 02:10 PM

So, the much talked about Blackberry Storm isn’t due out until November. Yet somehow, (as always seems to happen), new photos are circulating the ‘Net.  I caught sight of some of them, and if these are real…apparently the Storm had a little bit of a design overhaul from the last shots that were floating around.

The Vodaphone-branded Blackberry doesn’t seem to be all that worried about wooing over the glitz and glamour crowd.  Nothing too foo-foo on this phone.  It seems to be geared for the typical, well….Blackberry user. A kind of straight-forward, get the job done sort of phone.

The keyboard seems pretty nice in my opinion, if the photos are to be believed. In comments found in response to an article on boygeniousreport, there seem to be all different views flying around about it though.  Some people feel they won’t like the “push to type” that the Storm is purported to offer. Others feel that is ridiculous, and no big deal. Still others say the best bet (which I agree with) is if RIM goes the route of having three keyboards…click, non-click and suretype.  (Which they certainly should seem to have the capability to be able to do and thus win over that many more users). Yet, at this point, there isn’t any definitive confirmation on which it will be.

As always, stay tuned to find out more on the approaching Storm.
