Asus unveils S121 notebook with world's first 512GB SSD

Asus has shown off their new S121 notebook at this afternoons press conference, which is touting the world’s first 512GB SSD.  Other than the massive amount of solid state storage the S121 also features a 12.1-inch backlight energy saving display, a 1.33GHz Intel Atom Z520 processor, 1GB of RAM with support for up to 2GB, Wi-Fi 802.11n, Bluetooth and a 1.3-megapixel webcam.

The S121 weighs just 3-pounds and measures in at 11.7 x 8.3 x 0.9-1-inches.  Additionally it was said to offer up to 8 hours of battery life.  Additionally the S121 will also have a fancy styled exterior with a “majestic glossy brown Infusion finish,” metallic hinges that have Swarovski crystals embedded and leather covered palm rests.

Pricing and availability are still unknown, of course during the QA when pressed Asus CEO Jerry Shen suggested a price tag of around $1,649.
