Asus gets back with the Eee lineup, intro’s the Eee PC 900HA
It did not take Asus long to get back into the endless introductions of new Eee PC models. This new Eee PC 900HA comes not long after the excitement over the announcement for the non-Eee branded N10, but it seems that excitement was destined to be short lived.
The latest from the Eee lineup comes in the form of the 900HA, and its hard to think that HA is not standing for ha as in ha-ha, almost like the previous N10 announcement was just a little bit of a tease.
Anyway, as for specs on the Eee PC 900HA, it is expected to feature an 8.9-inch display with a 1024 x 600 resolution, a 1.6GHz Intel Atom N270 processor, 1GB of RAM, 160GB hard drive, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g, 1.3-megapixel webcam, 4-cell battery and will run Windows XP Home. As for pricing, it is expected to retail for $349. Basically, for those familiar with the Eee lineup, the 900HA seems to be nothing more than a 900A but with a larger hard drive and slightly better webcam.
It seems Asus needs to just begin offering custom configured Eee’s that way they could cut down on some of the new models being offered. Seriously, these amount to nothing more than just some confusion, even as someone who has been following this line, I still have trouble keeping is straight.

Is it just me ? I wish they would stop treating these netbooks like some sort of glorified cell phones. Quit with the chintzy 1.3 megapixel cameras. Put the $ into a better feature like extended battery life.
