Asus has received a lot of attention lately due to their Eee PC, now they have announced the availability of the U6E and U6S notebooks for those looking for something a little more powerful than the Eee.
The U6E and U6S both feature a 12.1-inch display at 1280 x 800 resolution, a 2.2 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo Processor, 2GB RAM, 160GB hard drive, DVD super multi drive, 0.3-megapixel webcam, integrated sound and speakers, a fingerprint reader for security and runs Windows Vista Business. The U6E has an Intel GMA X3100 shared video memory while the U6S has a dedicated NVIDIA GeForce 8400M G with 128MB memory.
The U6E and U6S are both currently available and retail for $1,749 and $1,799 respectively.
