Archos TV+ gets FCC treatment

by Indraneel Purohit on Nov 9, 2007 at 04:01 AM

Archos TV+ FCC

Yet another product has gone through its pre-release motions with the FCC; this time it’s the Archos TV+. The device has already had its details revealed, this past June, in fact.

That’s not to say we can’t refresh your memory if you already know, and if you don’t, we’ll inform you. At its basics, the TV+ is a direct competitor to the Apple TV in that it outputs video, via Composite, S-Video, Component or HDMI ports to a TV or monitor.  That video is stored on its hard drive, which in this case is available in 80 or 250 gigabytes; $200 or $350 respectively. Rounding out the feature set is 802.11g Wi-Fi and video recording, which is capped at a VGA resolution.

No other information (release date) is known as of yet, bur more word will be here as it happens.
