About mid-August, Archos had announced that they would be selling a new type of media player sometime in September, but it seems that they are about to begin shipping the Archos 105 sooner than previously expected, in fact they started yesterday.
In case you missed the story and specs about the 105, it’s basically your average PMP. It sports 2GB storage, 0.3 inches thick, supports MP3, WAV, and WMA for music, and WMV for viewing videos, and JPEG photos, all on its 1.8 inch OLED. It boasts a nice battery life with 18 hours when playing music. Additionally, you can import music and other media from either Macs or Windows.
It seems that the 105 is going to be ready just in time for the big back-to-school sale rush. It is available in three colors gray, black, and red and selling for $90. You can order a brand new Archos 105 right now off Amazon.
