Apple increases iPhone battery life to 8 hours
Apple has announced today that it has made some much needed improvements to the battery life on the iPhone. Instead of the low initial “up to 5 hours” that was promised we can now expect up to 8 hours of talk time, 6 hours of internet use, 7 hours of video playback or 24 hours of audio playback and up to 250 hours of standby time. Sounds more like what we would expect, of course I think most would still prefer it to have an accessible battery so the power user could swap batteries if needed. In addition to the battery life Apple has switched the top surface from plastic to an optical quality glass to better protect its 3.5” display from scratching.
The iPhone, available on June 29th will come in either a 4Gb model for $499 or an 8GB model for $599. With only $100 between 4GB’s and 8GB’s it would seem a bit foolish to go for the 4GB model. Only 11 more days till launch, I can almost see the camp out lines forming.

8 hours of talking time is just the same as the current popular phones. Can not wait to be the first in the line in June 29
