The Voyage 855 is lightweight (15 grams) and offers ‘full-spectrum’ stereo music with a conveniently positioned switch to allow you to swap between calls and music on your ‘music enabled phone’. That will be the iPhone that they are targeting.

With the noise canceling ear buds and the sliding boom to allow you to make crystal clear calls, this is a high quality Bluetooth headset, for those times when you actually need to make or receive a call rather than listen to your music.

As yet no sign of price of release date, but the following features are confirmed:

  • Up to 7 hours talk time from a single charge
  • Ready, willing and able with 200 hours standby time from a single charge
  • Dedicated call and music controls at your fingertips
  • Full-spectrum stereo sound with rich, balanced bass
  • Seamlessly switch between calls and music listening

Update: From Plantronics PR: “Therefore, I’d like to highlight a few things: yes, the V855 is a voice and music solution for MP3 enabled phones, however the iPhone is an exception since it does not support the A2DP stereo Bluetooth profile. This is an Apple issue, most other MP3 enabled mobile phones meet this standard for wireless stereo music listening.”
