Alltel offers up their $99 unlimited calling plan

by Elisabeth Young on Mar 13, 2008 at 07:16 PM

Alltel has quietly announced, albeit a little while after the other major carriers, their unlimited calling plan. Currently available for only $99.99 per month, Alltel subscribers can now talk anytime, anywhere without having to keep tab of the minutes with the new unlimited phone plan. Called the National Freedom Unlimited, this call plan is an attempt by Alltel to keep up with other carriers such as AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile and Verizon that have recently launched their own unlimited plans.

Similar to some of the other recently announced calling plans, Alltel’s new plan does not include sending message or data. But since calls are unlimited, some may not need that. Alltel knows that only a few customers will go unlimited since they still have their 5, 10, or 20 MyCircle plans. The MyCircle 5 for example already offers free 750 minutes which could be enough to last for a month. But for the frequent and talkative callers, any unlimited phone plan is heaven sent.
