Aiptek’s Newest AHD 300 Camcorder records 1080p on the cheap

Aiptek AHD 300
I believe that the last time we covered Aiptek’s newest products, it was last year.  At that time, it was a 720p camera that cost a mere $170.  Aiptek’s newest PocketDV, the AHD 300, is also low-cost, and it can capture 1080p footage.

Aiptek’s newest can record about 30 frames per second (fps) at 1080p, or the user has the option of recording 60 frames per second in 720p mode.  Internal memory is at about 90 MB, but you can use SDHC SD card slot that can support up to 32GB, which is good for about eight hours 1080P of footage.

The AHD 300 can also shoot stills at 8 megapixels, and also has a 4x digital zoom.  It has a 2.4 inch TFT LCD display, and media player functions as well.  We should probably bring up that even though this is a 1080p camera, it can only capture footage at 1440 x 1080.

I mentioned that the Aiptek AHD 300 is available at a low price, and I followed my tradition of saving the price to the very end.  You should be able to get it at about $250.  Whoa!
