Full FeedAcer laptops now with Ubuntu pre-installed
More laptops are now jumping on the Linux bandwagon. A new ad has popped up offering the Acer Aspire 5710Z with Ubuntu pre-installed. The laptop features an Intel Pentium Dual-Core 1.73 GHz processor, 512MB DDR II RAM, 80GB hard drive, DVD super multi double-layer drive, Acer InviLink 802.11 b+g Wi-Fi and a 15.4” WXGA display and will cost approximately $700.
The only bad part is that this ad is from a place called Memory World based in Singapore. Still unclear from this ad is whether Ubuntu is coming straight from Acer or just as a customization from Memory World. Hopefully if not from Acer, maybe they will see this as a good option and follow suit.
