MSI Wind U120 pictures released
The folks over at Fudzilla have got their hands on pictures of the MSI Wind U120, also dubbed the “MSI Wind 2.”
One of the major upgrades over the U100 is in the hard drive department. There is a 120GB hard drive or a solid state drive option at 20 or 40GB. The U120 also features a built-in 3.5G modem that supports a SIM card.
Don’t expect this version to be that different than the U100 in other specs. The U100 features a 1.6 GHz Intel Atom processor and 1GB of RAM; the U120 will have the same. Screen size will still remain at 10-inches. Design-wise, the U120 appears similar to the U100, but looks a little less toy-ish.

Foldable screens: Maybe. Maybe not
We have seen how LCD technology has revolutionized our daily lives, from cellphones to television displays. All of this occurred less than a decade ago, when we made our transition from CRT displays to LCD displays.
Recently, researchers from Sony and the Max Planck Institute in Germany have unveiled the result of their research by demonstrating a flexible video screen. Some have come up with numerous applications of this technology such as foldable computers and reusable newspapers where you can upload the content of a newspaper onto a device equipped with one of these screens.
See what separates this new flexible display from its predecessors after the break.
500GB Seagate hard disk for new Acer laptops
The latest collaboration between two renowned brands, Acer and Seagate, has produced an outstanding improvement in notebook hard disk capacity, up to 500GB for new Acer laptops. I, for one, am glad that Seagate has managed to meet the increasing demand for higher hard disk capacity on laptops. As a frequent laptop user, I know how limiting it is to find out that I don’t have enough free space to meet my excessive multimedia needs.

With all the super hectic movie chaos that are taking place these days, one’s monitor can never be enormous enough to feed to our flaming desires for in-house movie screenings. The long anticipated Nokia 5800 launch

If you happen to be a Nokia fanboy, like I am, you will definitely be interested in the following update as to the exact date the Nokia 5800 (The “Nokia Tube") will be launched.
After being put on hold for quite some time (a year and a half, to be exact), some “unknown yet reliable” source has revealed its launching date will be October 2, 2008, just as Reuters had reported. It may or may not be true, but let’s just keep our fingers crossed! (Hey, it’s Reuters reporting it. We should be able to place a certain degree of trust on that information!). Nokia may not be the earliest to jump on the touchscreen-mobile-phones bandwagon, but it certainly isn’t late because there is still demand for touchscreen phones, as can be seen from the craze surrounding the Apple, LG, and Samsung touchscreen phones.
8 megapixel cameraphone with GPS from Samsung
Yup! You read it right. Albeit this is not the first 8 Megapixel phone from Samsung, the news of Samsung’s 8 Megapixel M8800 Bresson aka Pixon struck all mobile phone lovers when it was announced on September 25th, 2008. As a matter of fact, Pixon is relatively different when compared to the first 8 megapixel Samsung i8510 INNOV8. The Pixon has no keyboard but instead features a 3.2 inch touch screen display with an on-screen keyboard. The Pixon is not a smartphone, which probably will irritate some people. Nevertheless, lacking the features of a smartphone, Samsung has definitely found a way to somehow to make up for this by providing rather amazing specs for a non-smartphone.
