Sidewinder S6

Since the beginning of the year, there has been a growing craze for slider or sidekick products. Whether it is a PMP or a mobile phone, we love to lay hands on such models that appear different from conventional products. Microsoft too, following the fashion trends in technology, has developed an exquisite model in its keyboard category. It is rumored that Microsoft will release its latest Sidewinder X6 Keyboard this fall. A revamped version of Sidewinder X5 will also accompany the X6 keyboard.

Microsoft’s X6 carries a detachable numeric keypad that can be connected at either side of the keyboard. However a feature that makes it slightly unusual are the two round knobs on the top right panel of the keyboard, it is not confirmed but they may be the audio controls.

To bind game macros, Microsoft has equipped the X6 with an additional row of keys. Another distinguishing feature is the cruise control. It lets you to attain a steady keypress even without touching the keys with your fingers again. The left side of the central part carries some additional programmable keys for user convenience.

The Sidewinder X6 Keyboard reasserts the belief that PC platform for video games is still alive. The S6 is expected to be in stores this September with a price tag of around $80.
