Capcom fighting game fans have been on cloud nine since the company announced Wii-exclusive Tatsunoko vs. Capcom:Ultimate All-Stars would receive a United States release.
There is no better place than the Tokyo Game Show (September 24 through 27, 2009) for Capcom to spoil four new characters including two from the Capcom side and two from the Tatsunoko stable of famous anime shows.
Capcom has announced the character reveal (yep, an announcement of an announcement) to drum up even more excitement for a game with an anxious fanbase.
This one will have online play and a different character roster from the Japanese version of the game. Capcom could be switching some of the more obscure characters from the Tatsunoko roster with those that got more US exposure. Their wealth of shows includes Speed Racer andBattle of the Planets.
There are also rumors about whether or not Capcom’s ace attorney, Phoenix Wright, will make the trip stateside.
Oh please, please give me my Phoenix Wright. I want to hit some chump with a 10 billion hit “Objection” combo. Heck, I wouldn’t even mind getting hit by one, as that’s just funny. Capcom hasn’t yet announced the U.S. release date for this long awaited fighter.
