Fortunately, for fans of Max Payne’s gaming experiences, the chance to live his life has arrived, as Rockstar has announced that Payne’s third adventure will see release for Playstation 3, Xbox 360 and PC Winter 2009.
According to 1UP, Payne appears to be going through a rough time in this adventure, although considering what he has gone through in the past; it is highly unlikely that any experience could surpass it.
Rockstar founder Sam Houser described Payne’s latest tribulations thusly: “We’re starting a new chapter of Max’s life with this game. This is Max as we’ve never seen him before, a few years older, more world-weary and cynical than ever. We experience the downward spiral of his life after the events of Max Payne 2 and witness his last chance for salvation.”
Max’s last chance for salvation? One could interpret that to mean that life has pained Max to the point where he is considering taking his own life. It could also mean that the bad economy is crippling him to the point where he has no means of survival.
Either point could be valid; gamers will just have to find out when this title sees release.
