After a year of waiting for Capcom’s Lost Planet: Extreme Condition demo for the Playstation 3, it was pulled by Sony with 24 hours after being released on the PlayStation Network.

Chris Kramer, Son’s senior director of communications and community, posted on the PlayStation Blog that the multiplayer demo was removed because Sony wished to “address issues that have come to light.” There is no timetable of when PS3 gamers will get a re-release of the long-awaited demo.

“We will be working overtime to correct the issue and expect to upload a new version to the PlayStation Network as soon as possible that accurately reflects the incredible online features of the game,” Kramer continued in his announcement. “For those of you who have already downloaded the demo, the servers are being taken down until the new version is read to go.”

This news comes just a few days after the rumored release of Lost Planet Colonies, which was exposed by ESRB’s rating of the rumored title.
The Lost Planet: Extreme Condition demo featured one map, Pirate Fortress, and focused on 8-player Elimination and Team Elimination (two of the four multiplayer modes in the game.)

The full game, which was first released January 12, 2007, on the Xbox 360, will be released for the PS3 on February 26, 2008.
